The Promises of God
Who are you? When someone asks you this question, your most typical response is to give your name. You might also share your age, where you live, or something about your family. We typically identify ourselves by everything that’s written on our driver’s licenses or that people can find out about us on the Internet. While these things about you are very important, they are only surface-level when it comes to your true identity. Scripture says that God made humans in the Image of God, or “Imago Dei”. This is our foundational identity as people, but sin has changed the landscape of who we are and how we operate, and only God can erase the effects and power of sin. Over the next six weeks, you will study six promises of God to help rediscover your true identity. Your life can be different when you learn how to live in the true identity that is given to you as someone made in God’s image!
